Variations in prostate cancer treatment
Prostate Cancer Research is conducting a new research study that will determine whether there is variation in relation to the treatments for prostate cancer and, if so, to understand what is driving this variation. The study is supported by Bayer. This is a two-part study to evaluate variations in prescribing practices across the UK for prostate cancer patients. The study includes a retrospective analysis of real-world prescribing data to identify patterns and trends, as well as surveys and interviews with healthcare professionals and prostate cancer patients to explore the reasons behind these variations in clinical practice.
Research Study
Patient understanding of prostate cancer, treatments, and pathway
Project commissioned by a global pharmaceutical company to look at patients’ understanding of their prostate cancer treatment options, including how these are selected and recommended; and familiarity and understanding of the prostate cancer pathway. The prostate cancer pathway is a structured approach to diagnosing and managing prostate cancer. We want to explore the levels of knowledge and understanding that men with prostate cancer have at the point of diagnosis and beyond. This study focuses on men with metastatic prostate cancer.
Research Study
Exploring prostate cancer patients’ experience and quality of life
This study, commissioned by a leading pharmaceutical company, will focus on patients who have undergone radical prostatectomy for the treatment of localised and locally advanced prostate cancer. The study aims to provide insight which will help inform treatment decisions in early-stage prostate cancer in the future.
