Setting up your online fundraising page

Setting up your JustGiving page

Fundraising pages are the easiest way to get donations from friends, family and colleagues.

All you need to do is share the link to the page and your supporters will be able to donate easily.

This guide will walk you through how to set up a fundraising page on Just Giving! The first thing you will need to do is create an account and then follow the steps below!

Please note: if you are fundraising for a specific team or fundraising event run by PCR, such as the London Marathon or Snowdonia for Science, you will be given a direct link to set up you page which will bypass some of the following steps. Please check with your PCR contact to see if there is a link available before proceeding with these steps.

How to set up a JustGiving page

  1. Log in to your account and click ‘Start Fundraising’.
  2. When asked “What are you raising money for?’, select ‘A Charity’.
  3. Search for Prostate Cancer Research and select.
  4. At this point you will be asked what you are doing to raise money for us, please select the relevant option. If you select “Taking part in an event” you will see a list of PCR events that are live, select one of these if it is your event or search for your event. If your event is not listed, please click ‘Add your Own’. If you select add your own, you will be asked to provide some details about the event.
  5. You will now be able to choose your web address – this is the link you will be sharing with friends, family and colleagues when asking them to donate.
  6. If you are planning on selling goods or services on the page such as Christmas cards, lottery/raffle tickets or cakes, you will need to select yes when prompted as the donations to your page will not be eligible for gift aid.
  7. Click ‘Create your page’.
