Oliver Kemp
CEO
I am responsible for ensuring that the organisation is effectively meeting the needs of people with prostate cancer by driving forward our strategy.
I have been in the sector for 25 years and been a CEO for half of that. I am skilled at developing innovative, impactful organisations that deliver change.
I joined PCR because I saw the ambition and potential of the organisation to deliver breakthrough initiatives.
Outside of PCR I love to spend time with my young family and fending off my feral puppy.
Rachel Lund
Chief Resources Officer
I oversee the Resources team at PCR with a focus on our People and Culture strategy, Data compliance and income processing and work closely with the Fundraising team.
My aim is to ensure we have a culture of learning and development, a finance function that utilises and adapts to new technologies and is embedded across teams, data driven decision making across all teams and confidence in our comprehensive and effective policies and procedures.
I’ve worked at PCR since 2017 and have seen the organisation, evolve and continue to innovate and I’m proud to be part of it and our ambition to change the future for men with prostate cancer.
Out of work I am generally seen out and about at farms, playgrounds etc, entertaining my little boy and occasionally at the gym or doing some gentle yoga, reading a novel, listening to a psychology podcast or realising I sadly don’t have green fingers!
Ellie Dumper
Chief of Staff
I work closely with the CEO to drive PCR’s strategic priorities, manage high-profile relationships, and ensure execution of key initiatives.
I have worked in the sector for 8 years, across both health and human rights, working cross-organisationally to drive operations and deliver complex projects in fast-paced environments.
I joined PCR to be part of an organisation that’s genuinely changing lives through science and innovation, and I was excited by the challenge of working in an ambitious environment driving real growth.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming and yoga at the local lido, spending time with loved ones, and pottering about in my little flat.
Gulay Olmez
Database Manager
At PCR, I manage and maintain our extensive database, providing essential support to all departments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for data-driven decisions.
I hold a degree in Physics, have completed a Skills Bootcamp in Data Analysis, and have advanced Excel training, all of which have strengthened my analytical and data management skills.
I joined PCR because I am passionate about using data to make a meaningful impact across various areas of the organization, and I appreciate the supportive and dynamic environment here.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, spending time with my family, finding joy in capturing inspiring moments.
Devashish Latkar
Finance and Database Officer
I support our research through income processing and Database management.
I have a background in Financial Reporting and I hold a Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance.
I am committed to contributing to PCR because I love the cause and enjoy applying my skills to support impactful research.
Jeanette Bär
HR and Office Assistant
I look after all things staff and office. I am the first point of contact for PCR and handle enquiries, office maintenance, staff records, recruitment, problem solving and HR policy and guidance.
I have a Level 5 CIPD qualification in HR Management, I am an Associate Member of the CIPD and I would like to specialise in Equality and Diversity one day.
I joined PCR because it is an incredible charity carrying out amazing work every day, as well as being a warm, talented and inspirational team of people.
Outside of work I love to knit, craft, try new food, read and spend time with my family.
Mili Komirelly
People and Office Assistant
I support the smooth running of PCR by looking after office management, health and safety, IT coordination, and staff support. My role also includes HR administration, onboarding new starters, and making sure colleagues have the resources they need to succeed.
I hold a B.B.A. in International Business and a Higher Diploma in Professional Accounting. I am also part-qualified with ACCA.
I joined PCR because I enjoy working in people-focused roles and wanted to contribute to an organisation that’s really making a meaningful impact in the lives of those effected by something as unfortunate as cancer. What I love most is being part of a supportive and passionate team whose work ethic is so inspiring.
Outside of work, I love travelling, exploring new food spots from my ever-growing list in London, spending time with friends, and going to the cinema! You will also always find me by the sea (despite the weather)!
Derya Gokler
Finance and Operations Manager
With over 6 years of experience in Finance and Operations I oversee financial processes and manage day-to-day finance operations in accounting such as accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cash flow processes while ensuring financial compliance and optimal organisational growth. My greatest achievements include leading PCR’s IT system changes and compliance in financial reporting.
PCR’s mission of improving health equality for everyone, regardless of race, birthplace, wealth or identity attracted me to work here. Being appointed as the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Officer, I support our mission of inclusion while encouraging an inclusive environment for all.
My education includes Economics, Psychology and Music. I play the flute and enjoy performing music with other musicians as well as my daughter. Outside of work I like travelling, experiencing different cultures, seeing live performances, looking after my 100+ houseplants and spending time with my family and friends.
Nitika Agrawal
Finance Assistant
I hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce and master’s degree in business administration.
I am always eager to learn new things and continually seek opportunities to enhance my skills in the finance field.
In my free time, I enjoy expressing my creativity through drawing, painting, and zen tangling.
Ceri Evans
Treasurer
Ceri is our Treasurer, and a treasure. He has been a qualified Chartered Management Accountant for longer than the younger members of the team have been alive. Ceri is now semi-retired, and alongside his own business interests, he very generously gives much of his time and skills to a number of charities, including PCR.
Dr Jayne Spink
Translational Research Director
I lead the Proven Connect team at PCR, where we help early-stage companies transform promising lab discoveries into real-world diagnostics and treatments.
I was drawn to PCR because of its proactive, solution-focused culture and the charity’s unwavering commitment to making a real difference for those affected by prostate cancer.
With a BSc in Genetics and a PhD from Cambridge University, I began my career as a post-doctoral biomedical researcher. Since then, I've worked as a civil servant, at NICE, and held senior roles in the third sector since 2007.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, making clothes, playing the piano, improving my Spanish, and exploring London’s parks with my Mini-Schnauzer.
Sonja Lawrence
Associate Director for Proven Connect
Alongside Jayne Spink, I was responsible for developing the translational arm of Prostate Cancer Research known as Proven Connect. My role is to ensure Proven Connect is at the forefront of how charities can invest and accelerate technologies to support men and their families with prostate cancer. This includes identifying the most promising diagnostics and helping to get these to clinic through to the development of new and more effective ways to treat the disease.
I have worked in the charity sector for the last 25 years specialising in bringing together the right people at the right time to develop lasting change. I am passionate about how PCR’s team, academic researcher, amazing supporters, early-stage biotechs can transform the care and treatment of prostate cancer.
In my personal life I like to write, spend time with my two teenage children and take long walks with my cockerpoo.
Liddy Osmond
Translational Research Officer
I work within the Proven Connect team, the translational research arm of PCR. My role involves facilitating investments in emerging biotech companies and helping to advance these technologies to clinical applications.
I hold a master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Sheffield, with a background in cellular and molecular biology, particularly focused on inflammation.
I joined PCR because of its dedication to patient-first approaches and innovative translational strategies that sustainably advance prostate cancer diagnostics and therapies.
Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with friends and family, exercising or cooking and travelling whenever I get the chance.
Franco Vegliani
Senior Data Analyst
I am available for all data related needs within PCR. The data side of Prostate Progress and our Cost Benefit Analysis tool are my main areas of work.
I have a BSc with Honours from the University of Glasgow where I also spent three years researching photobiology of the plant circadian cycle.
I joined PCR to pursue a data driven approach to patients' care, I believe that PCR has the tools and the attitude to deliver.
Outside of work I spend my time training in historical medieval martial arts and conducting (sometimes questionable) culinary experiments.
David James
Director of Patient Projects and Influencing
I lead a dynamic Patient Projects team that develops and delivers innovative, impactful, world-class initiatives, such as the infopool and Prostate Progress, to support, educate and engage those affected by prostate cancer.
I also head our Influencing department that is building a grand coalition of stakeholders – politicians, policymakers, healthcare professionals, industry leaders, patients and the public – to advance our mission for equitable access to diagnosis, treatment and care.
With over a decade of global experience in political campaigns, including multiple Obama campaigns, and successful project development and delivery in the Middle East and South Asia, I specialise in mobilising communities, driving engagement, and providing the effective support needed to deliver meaningful, lasting change.
I joined PCR to help execute our mission of improving health outcomes for everyone, regardless of wealth, birthplace, race, or identity.
I love exercising more than is healthy, riding my bike, nurturing my plants (both indoor and outdoor), and trying to be a good uncle to a growing gaggle of nieces and nephews.
Susannah Ramsay
Senior Programme Manager
My role is to launch the infopool and other educational support materials to HCPs who work within the NHS and the private sector, supporting them with the right information so that they can signpost and recommend the infopool to patients. Within the role I produce and manage HCP/patient materials, offer demos/presentations to help with signposting, produce and deliver HCP educational webinars, organise advertisements and conference attendance including putting together abstracts and poster presentations.
I joined PCR to launch the infopool because I am passionate about good patient information and improving patient outcomes.
Before this, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 28 years shaping policy, gaining access and funding for new and existing products and have been involved with successful launch of over 9 products.
When I am not working you will find me in a spin or yoga class to work off the odd slice of cake.
Dr Sara Nelson
Head of Health Information
I lead on content creation for our innovative new patient information platform, the Infopool. I work both with patients and clinicians to ensure that our information is accurate, culturally representative, centres patient requirements and meets the needs of those who have lower levels of health literacy. I also lead on patient engagement, involvement and social research projects. This involves helping pharmaceutical and industry bodies fact and sense check their patient information and materials as well as gathering the views of patients, partners and carers around their experience of care and support.
I have a PhD in experimental cognitive psychology and a degree in psychology and Zoology. I have around 40 years of experience working in or around the health and social care sector either as a nurse, researcher or patient engagement and involvement specialist.
I joined PCR because it is very much a patient focused organisation and because my experience has taught me that good quality health information is extremely important to patients and their families and a vital component of patient-centred care. Therefore, I relished the opportunity to be involved with the infopool project.
Outside of work I am a photography nerd who loves going to rock concerts, hiking and gardening.
Patrick Scott
Head of Project Development
I work across the organisation to identify, design and implement new projects that advance PCR’s strategy and maximise our impact.
I hold an MBA from Leicester University, am a qualified PMO Practitioner and hold various other project qualifications spanning Waterfall, Agile and hybrid approaches. I have over 20 years' experience of developing and implementing projects, programmes and portfolios across a range of sectors including health.
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in men, affecting 1 in 8 men in the UK; yet research into better diagnosis, treatment and care remains underfunded and overlooked: I joined PCR to help change that, working cross organisationally to develop meaningful projects that can create a better future.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog Merlin, a lively crossbreed Pug–Lhasa Apso. I also love cooking, playing chess and catching up with friends.
Joseph Clift
Head of Policy, Campaigns and Public Affairs
I lead on PCR’s advocacy and influencing strategy, driving forward our agenda to transform prostate cancer advocacy and improve outcomes for people affected by prostate cancer.
I’ve worked within health and medical research charities for over 18 years, advocating for change on issues such as tobacco control, organ donation, CPR skills, new treatments for a range of conditions, and digital health. I’ve also developed policy looking at how scientific evidence is used in decisions around medicines, and how regulation can meet the challenge of emerging science and tech.
I joined PCR to help bring about changes in UK policy that improve the lives people affected by prostate cancer, and to help give a voice to patients on areas of unmet need.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me at a gig, a cinema, on a 5 aside football pitch, or watching Sheffield United (for my sins).
Rupert Aikman
Health Equity Manager
I lead initiatives to embed health equity across Prostate Cancer Research’s outreach, education, and patient engagement activities. My work focuses on improving access to trusted information and ensuring that diverse communities are represented in research and patient data projects. I also oversee the expansion of resources such as the Infopool and Prostate Progress, collaborating with community partners to develop cultural-tailored engagement strategies.
With over a decade of experience working as a community nutritionist, I am passionate about tackling health inequalities and promoting cancer prevention at a grassroots level. I hold a BSc in Food and Nutrition and an MSc in Human Nutrition, and I serve as a trustee for The Rose Thompson Foundation, which partnered with PCR to introduce the Infopool to African-Caribbean communities across the Midlands.
Outside of work, I enjoy music, cooking, sports, gardening, Parkruns, and exploring how culture, food, and identity shape health and wellbeing.
Pauline Bagnall
Clinical Nurse Specialist RN MA
My role is to work with the Patient Projects Team contributing to the development and updating of the infopool content, ensuring that it remains up to date with current NHS practice.
I joined Prostate Cancer Research as I was excited to be involved in such an extensive information resource, aimed at all people with prostate cancer, but in particular includes people with low health literacy and people from black community. I love working at PCR because everyone is as passionate as I am, about making the lives of people with prostate cancer better.
Outside my work at PCR I am an NHS nurse, working mainly with people who have prostate cancer. I love to spend time with my three grandchildren, as well as cooking, reading, watching and listening to soaps and walking and socialising with friends.
Peter Harrison
Director of Partnerships
I lead the Partnerships Team at PCR, which is focused on working with like-minded companies, Trusts & Foundations, and government bodies to enable our programmes of work and support people living with prostate cancer.
I am motivated by collaborating with colleagues and other organisations, who are equally committed to our shared goal of saving and improving lives, to design and launch innovative and impactful initiatives.
My weekends are spent either walking my German Shepherd around various woodlands in Surrey (whistle and treats always at the ready!) or down at Selhurst Park praying for the ever-elusive win.
Ann Jones
Corporate Partnerships Manager
I work with Pharmaceuticals, cross-industry and non-profit organisations to develop strong partnerships and deliver collaborative projects, that improve the lives of those affected by prostate cancer.
I have a Masters specialising in organisational psychology and a professional background in Project Management and business transformation. I’ve now worked in the charity sector for over six years, focused on partnerships and business development. I’m passionate about bringing organisations together to make positive change across all areas of society.
We are a dedicated team, determined to champion the needs of people living with prostate cancer and create meaningful and pioneering change. It’s exciting to be part of something so special.
In my spare time I enjoy making art and exhibiting, seeing live music and being outdoors.
Sophie Wheeler
Trusts and Statutory Manager
I focus on building strong relationships with Trusts & Foundations and government bodies to support our programmes of work. My role involves developing proposals, connecting the right projects with like-minded partners, and ensuring our projects receive the support they need to make a lasting impact.
I have a BSc in Psychology and a background in Trusts Fundraising. I joined PCR because I was drawn to its beneficiary-led approach to tackling such a vital cause. Part of what makes PCR so great is its people - I feel lucky to work with such a talented and passionate team!
Outside of work I love getting creative with art, watching live music, spending time with family and friends and travelling whenever I can.
Chris Tyrer
Trusts & Statutory Executive
Working as part of the Partnerships Team, I’m responsible for developing impactful relationships with trusts and foundations to support the charity’s pioneering work and make a real difference for people affected by prostate cancer.
I’ve worked in the charity sector for over a decade – starting in the creative industries before moving into healthcare. I hold an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester.
I’ve joined Prostate Cancer Research because it has such an ambitious and innovative approach, with a real focus on making life better for patients now and in the future.
Outside of work I enjoy going to gigs, cinema, cooking, and hiking (as long as the hike starts and ends near a decent pub!)
Alexandra Adam
Trusts & Statutory Officer
As part of the Partnerships team, I focus on securing grants from trusts and foundations to help fund our research, while also looking after the amazing donors who support our work, making sure they see the real impact their contributions have.
I have a degree in International Relations & Politics, along with a Master’s in International Development. These studies gave me an understanding of the role charities play in tackling global issues. I joined PCR because I wanted to build a career that supports the incredible work charities do to create positive change.
Outside of work, I love films, you’ll probably find me at the cinema during the week and cycling to the beach on the weekend if the weather allows it.
Ellen Whatmore
Director of Public Fundraising
I lead the Public Fundraising Team to deliver and grow income, as well as provide a great experience for our supporters where everyone is valued and connected to the incredible work being done across the organisation.
I joined PCR because the CEO was so inspirational and brilliant. I still wonder when he is going to get that knighthood.
Nura Makki
Head of Philanthropy
I lead Prostate Cancer Research’s high-value fundraising strategy, fostering relationships with philanthropists and key supporters to drive sustainable growth and support PCR’s projects and initiatives.
I have 20 years fundraising experience, most of them working for medical research charities in the UK. I hold a Master’s degree in business and management of non-profit organisations from Bocconi University, Milan.
I have joined PCR because although is a relatively small charity, it is very ambitious and impactful, with a strong connection to its patients’ community.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, visit art galleries and foundations, I am the Chair of the Fundraising Committee of the London Children Ballet, and on Tuesday nights you can find me playing Burraco with my Italian friends.
Tom Treasure
Head of Individual Giving and Legacy
As Head of Individual Giving at PCR, I lead the team responsible for engaging, stewarding, and celebrating our fantastic supporters who generously contribute to our mission. I've worked in fundraising for over 15 years and have amassed experience in engaging, retaining and developing committed supporters and working cross functionally to make the most of fundraising.
I joined PCR because I was inspired by the organisation's dedication to improving outcomes for patients and their families through cutting-edge research and support programmes. A keen music lover, I play the drums and enjoy staying active, including running the Brighton Marathon for PCR in 2025.
Jasmeet Kaur-Shah
Individual Giving Officer
I focus on enhancing supporter engagement and increasing our organisation's impact. My role involves developing strategies to improve supporter care, managing donor journeys, and creating engaging content for various communication channels, ensuring our supporters feel valued and connected to our cause.
I hold a diploma in Contemporary Media Practice and have 15 years of experience as a Relationship Manager in Private Banking. This unique blend of creativity and relationship-building expertise is invaluable in my current role. After taking a career break to spend time with my young children and reassess my professional goals, I decided to transition to the charity sector. This journey has been incredibly rewarding so far, and I’m thrilled to be making a difference.
This is my first permanent position in the charity world, and I absolutely love it! I work with a fantastic group of people, and the flexible working patterns help me balance my professional responsibilities with my role as a parent. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it's watching my children play sports, going to the movies, drawing, cooking, or going for walks!
Bhumikar Mathkar

I'm here to ensure that every supporter feels valued, heard, and connected to our mission. I'm dedicated to providing the information and guidance, while offering empathetic support throughout their journey with me.
Building meaningful relationships with our supporters is at the heart of what I do. Whether you're fundraising for the first time, have questions about our work, or simply want to connect, I'm here to make sure your experience with Prostate Cancer Research is personal, supportive, and reflects the impact you're helping us achieve.
My academic background includes a double undergraduate degree in law and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Exeter. This combination has given me a unique perspective on both analytical thinking and audience engagement. It has also equipped me with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and to understand the motivations behind individual and group behaviour, which I now apply in a more human centred context.
Before joining the charity sector, I worked as a commercial lawyer within the financial services industry, across both the United Kingdom and India. While I valued the intellectual challenge and structure of legal practice, I found myself increasingly drawn to work that felt more personally meaningful. Transitioning into the nonprofit space has allowed me to use my skills in a way that contributes directly to a cause I care deeply about.
I am enthusiastic about contributing at Prostate Cancer Research because the cause is absolutely brilliant. The organisation is committed to funding innovative research and improving outcomes for those affected by prostate cancer. Being part of a team that is driving real change is both inspiring and fulfilling, and I am proud to support a mission that makes such a tangible difference in people's lives.
Harry Ellison
Head of Events and Community
If somebody wants to raise money for PCR through a sponsored challenge, online fundraising or any kind of event, they’re looked after by our growing Events & Community team! As Head of the team, I work alongside fellow fundraisers to give our supporters the best possible experience and raise as much money as we can to fund PCR’s lifesaving work.
I’ve worked in fundraising for more than 10 years at various charities, but I love PCR because of its commitment to push for more for patients, especially in closing the health equity gap that exists in this country.
I also love sea swimming, (mostly) unsuccessful crafting, extending my Duolingo streak and putting up the Christmas decorations in November!
Meg Smart
Senior Bespoke Events Manager
I lead on PCR owned events, which could range from a running challenge, conference, all the way to a carol concert. My role is about developing and innovating events that can engage & cultivate supporters to the organisation now and in the future.
I have a degree in Psychology and had the privilege of working at amazing charities over 10 years developing new & growth-making mass participation events. I love all things fundraising, digital and creative!
I feel honoured to work at PCR & alongside incredibly talented individuals. It is a bold and welcoming organisation that has always put the patient at the centre of every decision.
Outside of work I am known as being the busiest of bees, always out and about socialising with family/friends on pub dates, long-walks and many festivals. Put on a disco tune and I will never leave the dancefloor. Oh, and I am obsessed with all dogs.
Emma Daley
Events and Community Manager
I look after our exciting third-party challenge events portfolio; this includes events such as the London Marathon, Brighton Marathon and Bath Half Marathon. I lead on the strategy for this area and make sure that we maximise income, bring in new supporters to the charity as well as build long term relationships.
I have been working in events fundraising roles for over 10 years and have a degree in Events Management. I am honoured to be able to use my knowledge and experience at PCR. I am very passionate about the work that Prostate Cancer Research does, it’s a cause close to my heart, with my late grandad living with prostate cancer in his later years. He was a very special part of my family.
Outside of work I have two young boys at home who keep me very busy!
Ted Marriott
Events and Community Executive
I support the Events team with stewardship & supporter care for third party & challenge events such as London Marathon, Brighton Marathon & Snowdonia for Science. I also project manage the UK FBC and support the US team with US FBC and come up with new ideas and ways that we can improve.
I work with fundraisers across the country (and occasionally the world) to give them the resources and help they need to organise their fundraising activities and raise as much as possible for PCR. I also support fundraisers taking part in third-party event such as Tough Mudder or the Great North Run, and organise and lead our annual London Marathon teams.
I have degree in English from the University of Nottingham and have a background in theatre producing and copywriting.
I joined PCR as I was keen to work in the charity sector and specifically to work with a charity that is dedicated to supporting men’s health, both physical and mental, and addressing health inequities across the country.
Outside of work I enjoy script writing, spending time with friends and family and I love seeing live music – everything from dance music in a field to Americana and folk in my local pub.
Lucy Didcock
Events and Community Executive
I’m responsible for delivering virtual challenges, the Brighton Marathon, and testing new products, all while ensuring excellent supporter care to build relationships and maximise impact.
With a degree in Human Geography, I bring four years’ experience in fundraising and communications for a mental health charity, alongside various voluntary roles.
I was drawn to PCR for its innovative, patient-led ethos and its real impact on men and their families. With close family connections to the cause, joining PCR felt like a natural next step.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, short breaks across Europe, long walks with my dog, and hunting down great places to eat!
Claire Walsh
Director of Marketing and Engagement
As Interim Director of Marketing and Engagement, I’m focused on raising our profile by amplifying the brilliant work of colleagues, increasing our public visibility, securing meaningful media coverage, and supporting growth across our key programmes.
I have worked in fundraising and marketing in the charity sector for over 25 years. I love helping charities raise millions, grow their reach, and tell stories in ways that inspire action. I joined PCR because it is an innovative, creative charity with an energic, passionate team that dives in to every opportunity and delivers incredible things.
Outside of work I love 6am bootcamps, daytime club ‘nights,’ comedy podcasts, long walks and being in bed by 10pm!
Dr Naomi Elster
Director of Research and Communications
As a member of the senior management team, I help to spot and create opportunities for the whole organisation to fulfil its mission, in addition to setting the strategic direction and overseeing the performance of our academic research portfolio and our official communications.
I have a PhD in cancer research, which included getting a new drug into a clinical trial, as well as a background in science communication and advocacy and influencing, including being part of major gender equality campaigns.
I joined PCR as I saw huge potential for the organisation to be a force for positive change in the world, and I love seeing ideas become things that make a real difference to people’s lives through our work.
Outside of work I love storytelling, whether it’s reading, writing or watching them, travelling, time with family and friends, and doing a bad job of painting pottery.
Laila Fletcher
Marketing Officer
I support our diverse marketing and communication efforts, contributing to creative and impactful campaigns. I help foster collaboration across departments, bringing great ideas to life while designing engaging content.
I have a degree in Art and Design.
I love seeing how our work and campaigns link to meaningful change. It's really rewarding speaking to patients and knowing how your work has positively affected them.
I really like engaging with multiple forms of creativity. Whether that's painting, writing or video creation.
Kath Coleman
Communications Manager
I work as part of the Research and Communications team to communicate all the brilliant research that we fund here at PCR. My role includes working on our newsletter all the way through to working on our press and PR.
I have a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Science Communication, which is where I found my love for talking and writing about all things research!
I love connecting with the people at the heart of PCR, whether that is meeting people affected by prostate cancer or visiting the lab of a research scientist.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends and family, and spoiling my two cats.
Lizzie Slaughter
Research Manager
Here at PCR as part of the Research and Communications team, I help to oversee the research that we fund. My role includes checking in on our research projects both in person and online, approving research invoices, running grant calls, hosting events such as Meet the Scientists and Scientist Away days, undertaking in-house research, and working projects such as the reMOVE programme.
I have a degree in Biomedical Science, where my dissertation research focus was Melanoma, and a master’s degree in Global Health, where my dissertation research focus was Primary Liver Cancer in Sub-Saharan Africa. Before working at PCR, I worked in a Histology laboratory in a hospital. Working at PCR combines my interests and background perfectly and I love working with our amazing researchers and patients alike.
Outside of work I can be found seeing live music, walking my dog, painting, and a bit of travelling where I can!
Archanaa Krishnadasan
Research Executive
I work as a Research Executive at PCR, as part of the Research and Communications team. My main responsibilities include monitoring and evaluation of research projects, maintaining strong relationships with researchers and host institutions, managing the grant finance process, organizing and running grant calls, conducting in-house research projects, hosting research-related events, and ensuring that research progress is effectively communicated and understood across the organization to achieve the charity’s mission.
I hold a BSc degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology and an MSc degree in Biomedicine where I conducted research on the chemosensitivity of a colorectal cancer cell line adapted to grow in chemotherapy drugs. Alongside my academic qualifications, I have experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Neurology, Nephrology, and Dengue vaccine clinical trials in Sri Lanka.
What I love about PCR is I get to work behind the scenes funding groundbreaking research in the field of prostate cancer and being patient-centric in every decision we make.
When not working, I enjoy stargazing, talking about space and aliens or solving mysteries.
