Frequently asked questions:

What funding options are available?

To support Prostate Cancer Research, you can choose from the following  funding options:

  • Sponsorship for Charity – pay a small registration fee and fundraise and we’ll pay to cover the remaining cost of your place
  • Mixed Funding for Charity – pay for half your place cost, fundraise less and we’ll pay to cover the remaining cost of your place
  • Own Place (Self-Funded) for Charity – pay for your place in full and fundraise whatever you can as part of #TeamPCR

Each option varies on registration fee and fundraising target amounts depending on which distance you’d like to do. For these details check out the list in the Costs & Fundraising section.

Will I receive a PCR t-shirt?

T-shirts will be posted approximately six weeks before event day. We will be in touch before then to confirm.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All sponsorship goes direct Prostate Cancer Research via your online JustGiving page (which you will need to set up)

At least 50% of the ‘sponsorship target’ should have been raised 3 weeks prior to the Challenge. At this time the we agree to pay a fee for your place to the Ultra Challenge Organiser.

Failure to meet the deadline may result in cancellation of your place.

The remaining 50%, and any extra, should be raised by 4 weeks after the Challenge.

When does registration close?

All charity sponsorship and mixed funding places close 4 weeks before each challenge, so that you have enough time to fundraise and reach your target. Self funding places close for online registration on the Tuesday before each challenge.

Can I take part as a team?

Yes – Please let us know if you wish to take part as a team, you can then create a team fundraising page on Just Giving. However, please be advised that the minimum fundraising targets remain per person (not per team), so you will need to reach the combined total fundraising amount on your page for your group.
