Mark Clark Appointed as New Chair of Prostate Cancer Research
With September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, PCR is proudly launching a campaign with Climbers Against Cancer (CAC) from the 1st September and right through until the end of the year as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations, to support our mission and help us to raise awareness amongst their community and beyond.
Who are Climbers Against Cancer?
CAC is a non-profit organisation that donates all proceeds from the sale of branded merchandise directly to cancer research facilities throughout the world. Through the worldwide climbing community CAC aim to increase awareness and raise funds for research in the continued fight against a disease that affects so many.

CAC was founded by John Ellison, a beloved member of the climbing community, who, following his own cancer diagnosis, decided to set up a campaign to bring together the world of climbers and help contribute to the fight against cancer. What does the collaboration involve?
We have long known that regular exercise is an important part of looking after our physical and mental health, and there is a growing understanding that exercise is important for prostate cancer patients, however there are many reasons why it can be challenging for patients to exercise.
From the 1st September, CAC are donating 100% of the profits of all blue merchandise, the prostate cancer awareness colour, to a collaborative project set up between PCR and CAC exploring how we can support people affected by prostate cancer or those who are at risk to get moving in a way that works for them, so that more people can enjoy the health benefits of exercise.
