PCR x DOC Cleaning – London Marathon 2024

PCR was delighted to be chosen as one of DOC Cleaning’s Charity Partners in 2023. Since then, DOC Cleaning has fundraised for PCR at a number of events including Ride London, the 10k Ultra Challenge Halloween Walk and now the London Marathon, all in support of our mission to develop and deliver breakthrough medicines and treatment for people affected by prostate cancer.

DOC Cleaning is a small family business established in 1972 that provides a range of cleaning and associated services. In the last 50 years, the company has expanded considerably and now has over 1,300 staff. With this growth, DOC Cleaning has remained an independent, family led business with an emphasis on exceptional standards, trusted relationships, and traditional values. Providing managed services throughout the whole of the UK, DOC Cleaning are proud to count some of the world’s most iconic buildings, businesses, museums, and tourist attractions in their growing portfolio.

The partnership between PCR and DOC Cleaning was formed from a personal connection to the cause, after the team sadly lost their much-loved colleague Roger Odle in September 2022 following a diagnosis of prostate cancer. Through the support of DOC Cleaning we are increasing the awareness of prostate cancer and its risks to a wider community and raising vital funds to support our research and patient-led initiatives to improve outcomes for people affected by the disease.

The latest challenge event that DOC Cleaning is taking on for PCR is the 2024 London Marathon, taking place on 21st April. Senior Operations Manager, Brummell Gonzalez will be running this year’s marathon in support of PCR and in memory of colleague Roger. As an avid runner and having long aspired to participate in the London Marathon, Brummell is particularly excited for his next challenge, having previously completed Ride London in support of PCR.
