I was delighted to meet with staff from Prostate Cancer Research to hear about the need for screening for men at high risk of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the 2nd most common cause of cancer death in men in the UK, with Black men more than twice as likely to die of this disease than men of other ethnicities.

PCR’s latest report highlights that early detection is vital to improving prostate cancer outcomes. However, the current approach to detecting cancer is inefficient and inequitable. With no universal screening offering for the disease, the burden is on the individual to be aware of prostate cancer and PSA testing for it.

The time is now to make a change and be #ProactiveForYourProstate.
