How to get the most out of your fundraising page

Our top tips on making your fundraising page stand out!

Your fundraising page is the perfect place to tell people your story and let your supporters know why you are fundraising for PCR. Here are our top tips on getting the most out of your fundraising and maximising donations!

Make sure you set a fundraising target

Pages with a target raise 46% more. It usually helps to set it higher than your minimum and friends and family are then more inclined to donate more to support you in reaching the target.

Include a profile photo

Add a profile picture, either of yourself or who you are running for. Fundraising with pictures on their page raise 14% more per photo!

Tell your story

Be sure to tell people why you are fundraising, as well as why the charity is important to you. This helps to make your page more personal and shows your supporters that fundraising for PCR really matters to you.

Include information about Prostate Cancer Research

This helps people know who they are donating to and where the money is going. On JustGiving, we’ve written up a draft for you which will appear when you create your page but it would be even better if you spoke about your favourite project!

Spread the word

Share your link everywhere you can think of. Places like Whataspp groups, social media profiles and your email signature are great for sharing the link.

Keep your page updated

Let your supporters know how you are doing by updating your page often, they will enjoy following your progress and it’s a nice way for you to keep a record of your fundraising journey. If you use Strava, you can link this to your page so it posts automatic updates about your training.

Share your page again after you've completed your event.

It’s not over till it’s over! 20% of donations come in after an event has ended, so make sure you follow up the event with an update about how you did.
