We are inviting members of the Black community affected by prostate cancer to be part of the decision-making process when we select the research projects funded as part of our Racial Disparities Grant Call.ย

Patient representatives will be asked to read everyday language descriptions of research proposals and information on the relevance of the project to prostate cancer patients. They will then discuss these during a virtual meeting. Example lay descriptions can be seen here. These discussions will be instrumental in helping us to decide which projects should be funded and enabling us to fund the best research.

Please note there will be limited spaces for the panels and so registry does not guarantee a place. We will be in touch following registration to let you know if you have a place on the panels.

The meetings will take place virtually on Zoom, on Tuesday the 22nd April 5-8pm, Wednesday the 23rd April 9am-12pm, and Thursday the 24th April 1-4pm. Patient representatives will only need to attend one meeting and will be offered a reimbursement of ยฃ93.50 for their time on the panel.
