On Tuesday 23rd June, from 12.30 to 13.30 PCRC will be hosting a free video call with Harveer Dev. Harveer is an academic urologist based at the University of Cambridge. He completed his medical and doctoral training at Cambridge, and a Royal College of Surgeons Fulbright scholarship at Harvard University, exploring how cancer cells repair DNA damage. Harveer works at an interface of clinical care and cutting-edge scientific research, treating patients in the clinic and also leading research to understand why individual patients become resistant to treatment, and how to overcome this. His PCRC-funded project aims to understand why drugs such as the recently approved (in the US) olaparib work well in some men but not in others. You can find out more here: https://www.prostate-cancer-research.org.uk/olaparib-news-procasp/

We hope you can join us for this exciting and fascinating insight into the work of one of our scientists, and the opportunity to hear about the research directly from the scientist. At the event, you are welcome to ask Harveer any questions you have, or simply to listen.
