You will have an appointment with a Consultant Urological Surgeon and/or Radiologist and/or the team.

You will meet the Consultant or one of the team (nurse specialist or registrar).

They will ask you about symptoms and may do further tests, such as:

  •             Another PSA and/or DRE
  •             A biopsy of your prostate
  •             A MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan
  •             A CT (computerised tomography) scan
  •             A bone scan
  •             An ultrasound scan

Once the results are available, you will have to go back to the GP or hospital.

At this point, you will probably be given a diagnosis, if you have not already had one.
