Are you an experienced walker looking for an extreme, awe-inspiring route? Take on The Beast and push yourself on our most challenging route yet.
The Beast is a new route for 2022 and is aimed at experienced climbers wanting to push their hiking up a gear. It guarantees a huge day out that will be challenging, awe-inspiring and rewarding.
Named after the fabled monster, Rhita Gawr, that was dragged to Llyn Glaslyn and killed after terrorising a village in Conwy for decades. This is a looped route starting and finishing at the Royal Victoria. It will initially lead walkers away from Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to explore the Dinorwig slate quarries and peaks surrounding the north of Llanberis, including Elidir Fawr. The half way point is Pen Y Pass where you will then take the more classic and stunning route to summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the Miners Track.
Places are limited to 30 – so register soon to avoid missing out!
This will be a challenging walk, particularly in one day, with some areas of rough terrain so we recommend it to experienced walkers only. The route will be fully marshalled by experienced, qualified mountain leaders who will ensure you have the most rewarding day possible exploring some of the most stunning and unique views of Snowdonia.
