Celebration Giving
Celebrate your special day with Prostate Cancer Research.
Whether it’s your birthday, anniversary, wedding, or you’ve got something else to celebrate, your big day can help to fund life changing research in to prostate cancer. We would be honoured to share your special day with you, and will provide all the support you need to make it an unforgettable one!
Celebrate with a virtual collection
Take your celebration online and create an online giving page or Facebook fundraiser.
Asking for donations instead of gifts is a super easy way to support our research and sharing an online fundraising page is the perfect excuse to shout about your big day and our work to your network!

Wedding breakfasts, birthday parties and anniversary dinners – just a handful of perfect occasions to have a collection for PCR. We’ll provide everything to make this as easy as possible, from pin badges to thank your supporters to decorations to make it look fabulous, so you can focus on celebrating your big day!

How your money makes a difference
By dedicating your celebration to us, you are supporting our research and ultimately transforming lives. We could not continue to fund our research without you, and without our research we cannot achieve better outcomes for men with prostate cancer and their families.
Our research
We currently fund 15 research projects, all of which aim to develop more effective treatments and a better understanding of prostate cancer. Following our ecosystem report, we are determined to fund projects that explore current gaps in knowledge and treatment to move the field forward and reach new and better treatments sooner.

Our scientists
We fund scientists across the UK at all stages of their career. We care about the barriers faced by researchers and recognise the importance of nurturing and encouraging innovation and collaboration, to ensure that research is moving as effectively as possible to reach better outcomes for patients sooner.
By celebrating with us, you are supporting scientists at all stages of their research journey and ensuring they are treated with respect, offered flexibility and given the support they deserve.
You can find out more about our scientists in our research area.
Putting patients first
We listen to patients and fund the research that will lead to outcomes that matter most to them, so that our research is entirely patient-focussed. By celebrating with PCR, you are supporting patients who are sharing their stories and experiences and helping to fund the research that matters most to them.
Find out more about our patient voice panel and hear from patients who have been impacted by PCR’s work.
Where your money goes
With your support, we will provide scientists with the space, flexibility, and environment that helps turn great ideas into successful treatments.
How much could you raise for our PCR scientists? Did you know that –
£73 would fund materials to grow a cell colony.
£250 would fund 6 months of essential lab consumables.
£1,200 would fund a box of new antibodies to test.
£10,000 would fund a live imaging microscope camera.
We would love to be part of your special day (whatever it is!) and make your celebration even more magical - thank you so much for thinking of us. Set up your online collection now or get in touch with our Events Team to tell us all about your plans.
