About the opportunity

Your responsibility as a cheer point volunteer will be to encourage our runners to make it to the finish line. Our fundraisers train hard, and deserve the loudest cheers at the heart of the action in return for all the work they put into raising money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre.

You will be one of the team from the day you sign up to volunteer! In the run up to the event we will provide you with all the information you need as well as the logistics of the day. You will recieve your very own PCRC t-shirt and cheer sticks, so all you need to do is bring your voice, energy and enthusiasm.

What will this involve?

* The role will involve encouraging and cheering on our runners whilst boosting morale at our dedicated cheer point.

* What will be part of a team of volunteers all working towards the same goal - to make our cheer point the best on the course!

What skills / experience will I need?

* You will need plenty of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate others.

* You should be a good team player as you will be cheering alongside a team of other volunteers.

* You should be happy to be outside whatever the weather and be prepared to spend a number of hours on your feet.

What can I expect from the role?

* A fun day out knowing that you have made a real difference to our fundraisers experiences.

When will I need to be available?

* All day Monday 29th May 2017.

Where will the role be based?

* This will be at the Vitality 10000 Course in London.
