For a country with the biggest population in the world, China remains largely untouched by the West and now is your opportunity to discover it's hidden charms on our charity China trek. To trek along one of the Seven Wonders of the World is an incredible experience and one that will stay with you for a lifetime.

China is one of the world's most fascinating countries with a passion for culture and a sense of adventure - it leaves an indelible mark on all who go there. Embark on this journey with the Prostate Cancer Research Centre and discover it in the best way possible: on foot along the most exciting and stunning parts of the Great Wall.

How to secure your place 

To secure your place you will need to fill out the booking form and pay a registration fee of £349 each. Each participant will then have a fundraising target of £2840 to raise.

Day 1: Depart London for Beijing - 
Meet our crew and your fellow trekkers at London Heathrow for the journey to China.

Day 2: Arrive Beijing - 
Arrive in Beijing in the early morning and transfer to Huangyaguan where you will catch your first glimpse of the Great Wall. After lunch you will set off to tackle the Huangyaguan section of the Great Wall, which is known to be particularly stunning.

Day 3: - Huangyaguan - Oiankaijian Village
Your hike will lead you out of the hotel and onto a restored section of the Wall and by mid morning will reach the start of "Heavens Ladder", a steep, narrow climb of over 300 steps. Once at the top, with stunning views of Yanshan Mountains and the region below, you will head down again into the mountain village where you will stay in a local-run guest house.

Day 4: Oiankaijan Village - Jinshanlnig - 
After breakfast you will head up a steep trail where Heibei province, Tianjin City and Beijing meet together, known as the "Three Borders Tablet". You will then make your way West with the un-restored wall by your side as you descend back to the village for lunch. After lunch you will trek further through the village to meet your coach for the transfer to Jinshanling.

Day 5: Guebikou to Jinshanling - 
This morning you transfer to the start of the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall where you will see the Miyun reservoir and the Wangjing Tower rising in the distance. This section towards Jinshanling is one of the best preserved areas of the Great Wall and you will trek through 67 restored watch towers, each offering fantastic photo opportunities.

Day 6: Jinshanling to Mutianyu - 
After breakfast you trek east heading towards Simatai along a much restored section of the wall. Your trek can be seen for miles as the Wall runs up and down the spine of the mountain. You will take shelter in one of the many watchtowers on the way, and end the day with a transfer to your accommodation in Mutianyu.

Day 7: Mutianyu to Beijing - 
Today is your final morning on the Great Wall! After leaving the hotel and passing a small village you will climb a steep wooded track to the top of the Wall for your final breathtaking views over the far off mountains. The section you join is one of the most beautiful parts of the wild Wall in Beijing. After your final hike you will meet the bus and drive into the hustle and bustle of Beijing. You will regroup after freshening up to celebrate in downtime Beijing!

Day 8: Beijing - 
Today you will take time to explore the capital, seeped in history and culture. You'll visit Tiananmen Square and the nearby Forbidden City before grabbing some lunch. You can choose to explore the expansive Pearl Market and test your bargaining skills or opt for a foot massage or rickshaw tour of the Hutongs, the oldest area of Beijing. There will be a chance to watch a traditional Kung-Fu performance in the evening.

Day 9: Beijing to London - 
Today you will transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
