Fast & flat, the Edinburgh Half Marathon follows the marathon course which was voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World. This course is ideal if it’s your first half marathon or you are looking for a PB. The Edinburgh Half Marathon has sold out every year since 2012 and is one of the largest half marathons in the UK.

The beautiful, historical scenery of the city makes the run one you should not miss, along with the enthusiastic crowds cheering you on every step of the way! The Edinburgh Half Marathon starts in London and Regent Road before passing by the historic Holyrood Palace, which has served as the principal residence of the Kings and Queens of Scots since the 16th century. It turns north, along Lochend Road and Leith Links before reaching Portobello Promenade for some cooling seaside air where runners can enjoy spectacular views of East Lothian and across the to the Kingdom of Fife. The half marathon finishes in playing fields at Pinkie St Peter’s Primary School.
