Welcome to the Prostate Cancer Research Centre’s very first blog! With the launch of our brand new website, we are really excited to take our online presence to the next level, keeping you informed about all our activities. Whether it’s about our amazing fundraisers, what our scientists are working on, or even what we get up to in the office, we want to show you exactly what it is we do here at PCRC.

As a charity, PCRC is solely focused on funding research into advanced prostate cancer, so that we can develop treatments to increase survival and ultimately find a cure for the disease. We are hugely passionate about our research, and our supporters are too.

We are immensely grateful for everyone who gets involved, so to show our thanks we will be running competitions and give a ways on the blog for some of our more popular events! Stay tuned for a Christmas competition coming up soon…

The blog is written by some of the team at PCRC.

Professor John Masters is the CEO and will be writing about men’s health, research updates, and news in the world of prostate cancer.

Ellen Whatmore is the Events Manager and will be writing about current affairs in the charity sector, the events we run, and tips on training throughout the year.

Lauren Ward is our Challenge Events and Fundraising Executive and will be writing about fundraising advice, office activities and about the fantastic job our supporters do in raising money and awareness for us.

If you are as excited as we are, keep an eye out for our posts – we will be blogging twice a week!

You can follow PCRC on Twitter, like us on Facebook and find us on LinkedIn to keep up to date with what’s going on.
